Departure
00 |
Sun | 03 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 24 | Important
Reminder:
Before you depart, please make sure to label your suitcases properly with
luggage tags and anything that can distinguish your bags by a third party
in case it ever gets misrouted or lost by the airlines. If you can take
pictures of your suitcases and bring 2 copies with you it would be ideal.
Depart USA from your local city connecting through Chicago, or Detroit on Royal Jordanian airlines. |
| 01 | Mon | 04 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 25 | Depart Amman heading to Madinah. Upon arrival in Madinah Hajj terminal in the evening and clearing through Customs, we will welcome you and gather you with the rest of the group at the airport. We will do this as we wait for everyone in the group to arrive and finish with their passport and customs procedures. In Madinah now other Airlines are allowed to arrive in Madinah (not just Saudi Airlines), so please exercise patience. Once everyone has been welcomed and added to the group, we will begin our Hajj registration process with our "Mutawwef" (Saudi Government Representative). During this time, you are encouraged to rest, read your Hajj & Umrah Guide, and make prayer. This process can take from 2-4 hours depending on the number of Pilgrims arriving into Madinah on that day. Once all passports and Hajj group procedures have been completed, we will load your luggage onto our buses and head to your Hotel in Madinah. Please be sure to locate your luggage at all times from the minute you arrive in the Madinah terminal until your luggage gets loaded onto the Bus. Please read our Welcome Letter and Program Instructions that you receive after complete registration and processing of your Hajj Visa, and follow it closely. Notify your group leader or one of our staff members immediately if your luggage cannot be located. Again, please exercise patience, patience, and more patience! Important
Reminder: If you cannot find your luggage upon arrival in Madinah,
be sure to fill out a "Lost Luggage Claim Form" with the airline's
luggage agent inside the terminal and keep a copy of it with you. This
is your responsibility and it is very important as it will give
us the chance to help you recover your luggage later on. If such an
unfortunate incident happens, do not lose your calm; it is a test from
God. After you fill out the necessary claim form, go and join your group,
you will get a chance to buy yourself a new small suitcase and some
new clothing from Madinah just in case your luggage never gets recovered,
or in case it is recovered a little too late. Be dynamic, quick, and
know how to act. Be prepared for the worst, and In-Sha' Allah nothing
bad will happen. |
| 02 | Tue | 05 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 26 | Guided tours to the different landmarks and historical sites in Madinah. Lectures may or may not be given on this day. |
| 03 | Wed | 06 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 27 | Preparation for
the days of Hajj (Lectures, Q & A Sessions and so on). Note: Please be sure to label your luggage properly and watch your luggage get loaded on the bus with your own eyes. Also, please pack very lightly - only what you need during the next 4-5 days keeping in mind that you will be in your Ihram clothing for at about 3 days while traveling to Makkah, Performing your Umrah, and spending 24 hours in Mina before heading to Arafat and spending the night in Muzdalifh. In addition to your Toothbrush, Medicines and other personal items, please pack some dust masks and a blanket with you as you will need it in later on in Muzdalifah. It gets very cold at night in Muzdalifah under the sky. Brother also pack some vaseline or any other lubricant for your legs while wearing your Ihram. Also, If you do not receive a free gift that includes a small sleeping mattress, please purchase an extra blanket in Madinah and take it with you for Muzdalifah. Muzdalifah will probably be the most brutal night at Hajj. |
| 04 | Thu | 07 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 28 | Depart
Madinah Around Thuhur in A/C Buses. You need to make "Ghusul"
and put on your IHRAM Towels before you leave the Hotel in Madinah. Do
not make your intention "Niyyah" yet. You will get the chance
to make your intention at the "Miqat" just outside Madinah.
You will be performing your Umrah upon arrival in Makkah and after we
have completed the registration process with the office of the Mutawwef
in Makkah. Once done with Umrah, you will be taken to our camp site in
Minah. We will arrive in Mina in the evening. Note: There will be about 3 Government stops and 1 bus rest-stop on the way, so please exercise patience! Food will be served on bus. Note: Depending on Saudi Government regulations, we may have to fly out to Jeddah by air on this day and go straight to Mina from Jeddah, instead of going by A/C buses. If this becomes the case, you will be going into Ihram Status in your hotel room in Madinah before we leave to the airport. This is because the Miqat would be different than Madinah's. In the unlikely case that we have to do this, you will be informed in Madinah. |
| 05 | Fri | 08 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 29 | Yawm Attarwiya: In Mina, we will pray Thuhur (shortened) then have lunch; Pray 'Asr (shortened), Maghrib, and then 'Isha (shortened) followed by dinner. We will have lectures as well as Q & A sessions to further prepare you for the coming days of Hajj. |
| 06 | Sat | 09 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 30 | Hajj
Day - Wuquf on Arafat: We will move to 'Arafat early in the morning.
In 'Arafat we will pray Thuhur & 'Asr (combined and shortened) then
have lunch. We will stay until sunset, (Dinner will be served upon arrival
in Muzdalifah). We will go to Muzdalifah where we will pray Maghrib &
'Ishaa' (combined and shortened). We will stay in Muzdalifah until the
early morning. Be sure to bring a warm blanket* for the cold and dusty
night in Muzdalifah where there are no tents and we stay out in the open.
Departure from Muzdalifah for women, children and the elderly will be
between 2 and 3AM to escape the harsh conditions of Muzdalifah and to
avoid the worst rush hour of hajj. They will go straight to the Haram
to perform "Tawaf" Al-Ifadah. *Note: Please bring some dust masks and a blanket with you to Arafat as you will need it in later on in Muzdalifah. It gets very cold at night in Muzdalifah under the sky. Also, If you do not receive a free gift that includes a small sleeping mattress, please take an extra blanket with you for Muzdalifah. Muzdalifah will probably be the most brutal night at Hajj. |
| 07 | Sun | 10 Thul-Hijjah | Dec 31 | Al-'Aqaba Al-Qubra: This is the day of "Eid". After performing Rami of Al-Jamarah Al-Qubra, we will perform "Halq" then head to Al-Haram to perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah. You may also delay your Halq until after your Tawaf. Slaughtering the sacrifice will be done on your behalf if you paid for it as part of your Hajj package. Receipts are available upon request. Once you cut your hair (Halq) you are allowed to replace your towels with your regular clothing and exist from your IHRAM Status (Attahallul Al-Asghar). Return to Minah and stay there for the remainder of the day and spend the night in Mina. We will have Lectures, Q & A sessions as well as entertaining programs in "Fiqh" In-Sha' Allah. |

for departure from Mina. Go
to Al-Haram to perform Farewell Tawaf before leaving Makkah heading

in Jeddah, eat dinner, shower. change into travel clothing, and rest
for few hours before heading to Jeddah Airport. If you are flying on Royal Jordanian, you will be going to Jeddah Airport soon after you arrive in the Hotel, shower, and eat dinner, because RJ requires that you arrive in Jeddah airport at least 8 hours before departure. This means that we have to be at the airport by no later than 8:00pm for departure between 4:00AM and 7:00 AM Monday Morning (Jan 3, 2006). |
| 10 | Wed | 13 Thul-Hijjah | Jan 03 | Departure from Jeddah. |
